Extreme Loyalty

For a long time it was believed the last Japanese soldier to formally surrender after the country's defeat in World War II was Hiroo Onoda. Lieutenant Onoda finally handed over his sword on March 9, 1974. However, in 2005, two Japanese soldiers in their 80's emerged from the jungle where they had been hiding, unaware that the war had ended 60 years ago.
